I enjoyed the C3 meeting today. I'm always amazed by the new ideas Owen
comes up with. Many of ideas are difficult to visualize and take time to
sink in, so I hope to keep learning and improving my ability to help
with designing a collaborative environment.
As the next step, I'm looking forward to collaborating on the proposals
for new equipment acquisitions and the recommended long-term plan for
the use of IT in the ELP.
For "new equipment," my feeling is that a full proposal might be
difficult since we have not surveyed the needs of the staff yet. I
wonder if it would be best to suggest/report some possible purchases and
then also announce that we will conduct a survey. Just an idea, and I
will look forward to your proposal draft.
For "the long term IT plan," I imagine it will be challenging to draft a
proposal that is "just right" in terms of what it actually proposes as
new IT requirements for staff to learn or do. I hope we will find a good
balance that is not overly threatening for staff members who are not
into new technologies.
Good luck to us!
