Fwd from Owen: LRB/JALT invitation

Dear C3ers,

You may or may not know that on Sunday (4/13) I shared with you my JALT proposal & an invitation. My original January message to C3 regarding JALT did not produce an echo at that time. As in the original proposal this presentation is intended to essential present an LRB paper written during the upcoming holidays. It is suitable for co-presenting with co-writers of the paper. If you are interested in presenting the paper, please read the original January message and then take a squiz at the proposal below. Please let us all know if you are interested as soon as possible, the deadline is April 25. I am anticipating that only one or two C3ers (or perhaps none) may be interested in this proposal. However, I also anticipate that more C3ers would be interested in doing a session that focuses on the practical aspects of the initiative (not so much the theory), and in this case a new, second proposal would need to be written.

I am sorry if this message is overly convoluted.

Dear C3ers,

I would like to try to put my plans in place at the top of the year for one paper and one presentation for 2008. I want to write something for the LRB tentatively on using social software to leverage 'networked work' at organisation level ( i.e. the ELP). And as this year's JALT 2008 conference will be held at the same site in Tokyo from Oct. 31 - Nov. 3, that would be an easy and well timed opportunity to present the paper. If you would like to write the LRB paper together and/or present at JALT together, or suggest an alternative plan, please let me know. JALT should call for submissions shortly.
