Thanks for doing all this. I'll try to do more on behalf of this later!

Hi all,On Friday, I submitted the "Promoting Program-Wide C3 with Social Software" abstract as a 60 minute workshop session.I considered adding all C3 members as presenters but was not sure whether that would interfere with the possibility of acceptance of other abstracts sent in (I'm not sure how that works), so I only added the names of those would told me they wanted to do it (i.e. Bill, Dave and myself). I'm assuming we can add more presenters or change names later if necessary.Anyway, let's wait for the acceptance email coming around July 31 and discuss details in fall term.MarkOn Fri, Apr 25, 2008 at 8:45 AM, Bill Harshbarger <wcharshbarger@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi Mark,
This looks very good to me. Were you thinking of this as a 25 minute paper or a workshop session. Since you have done all the hard work already, I'll be happy to be part of this!

Just to confirm, how is the proposal below? Any suggestions?
Also, who is interested in being listed as a presenter at this point?
The deadline is tomorrow, so I'd appreciate any reactions.
If I don't hear from anybody, I think I will go ahead and list all C3 members...

Title: Promoting Program-Wide C3 with Social Software
Short summary (75 words): C3 = Communication, Collaboration, Community. This presentation will describe how the English Language Program at International Christian University, Tokyo has adopted the use of freely available online social software (Google services and Del.icio.us in particular) to stimulate "C3" work practices on a program-wide basis.
Abstract (150-250 words): How can instructors and administrators in large scale ELP programs most efficiently communicate, collaborate, and build a sense of community? Since April 2007, the ELP at ICU has been moving forward with an initiative called "ELP C3" to train all staff to create, share, and archive documents online using a variety of free Google services including Gmail, Google Documents, Googe Calendar, and Google Groups. Based on their experiences as committee members in charge of planning and implementing the c3 initiative, the presenters will describe the background, rationale, system design, benefits, implementation steps, current level of success, and potential risks of ICU's use of free online social software services. The presenters will argue that the benefits outweigh any potential risks, with the main benefits being increased efficiency in relation to 1) sharing ideas on curriculum and program management documents such as class worksheets, 2) collaborating in the creation of documents, and 3) archiving past documents.
